After eight weeks, the last week of training was held from the smiles, warm welcome, training sessions, excellent team building activities, and the spirit of teamwork. When I look back, I feel significantly advantaged to be part of ACLab and the amount of new information I acquired. I feel very confident and empowered in the knowledge that I had been equipped with all the skills required to be a great Agile coach and my next role as a project manager.
This is my last weekly reflection (Week 8) on Agile Coaching Lab, although, in my opinion, it is not the end, just the beginning.
The one thing that I learned and believed that every person and specifically Agile coach should know is that although their agile expertise is valuable, they must develop their skills in all aspects every day. Professional development is based on the notion of continuous learning. When you’re constantly learning, you’re always being exposed to new perspectives. People may enhance their knowledge and abilities to support organizational goals through continuous learning. Lifelong learning also develops mental flexibility, which aids people in adapting to changing work environments and personal lives. Because new abilities are continuously added to their ‘arsenal,’ this also builds trust and keeps individuals engaged and motivated. During ACLab training, alongside having fun, I learned many techniques and tools.
My next takeaway from this course was learning more about myself! Let me be clear: I enjoy working, but on my terms. · I have cultivated a habit of asking myself “why” about anything I’m about to do. I understand that Risk-taking and accepting feedback are my go-to methods for deeply learning about oneself. The ACLab helped me understand what I’m passionate about and how strong and capable I am. These helped me take the next step in my professional development and bring my IT, Scrum Master and Agile Coaching to construction and property maintenance. I know it sounds weird, but I started DwellStone Construction and Property Maintenance with an Agile approach (Surprise!).
In the end, I want to thank Jakub Jurkiewicz for creating the Agile Coaching Lab and providing fantastic material.
