In scrum, a user story is a brief, natural language description of features and is the smallest unit of work. User stories are written from the viewpoint of stakeholders. One of the most significant benefits of user stories is encouraging the team to think objectively and creatively about solving a problem. One of the excellent and practical ways to prepare a user story is to use design thinking methodology.
Design thinking is a problem-solving approach that incorporates logic, creativity, intuition, and structural reasoning. Design thinking aims to find the correct problems to solve by putting the customer and their needs at the centre of the business. It investigates the “why” of a dilemma, focusing on creating new ideas that teams put to the test through a series of user-centred exercises.
Design Thinking will assist the Product Owner in deciding what to create. One Product Owner has identified the issue. The problem statement was explicitly stated; Developers can now creatively ideate user-centric solutions and test them by using the definition of done as a guide.
Using design thinking for crating user story will increase collaboration within the Scrum team. In a collaborative environment, the team can respond to change quickly and has the chance to achieve the sprint goal.
